How can I get my credit rating without having to pay for it?

Normand V asked:

I just want to know what my score is without having to pay for it. I want to apply for a small personal loan of $3,500.00 and I hear each time you apply it lowers your score. I am in the process of re-building my credit and don’t want to apply if my credit rating is a “C” or below can anybody help me?

You can get your score for free from each of the 3 agencies now. Here are the sites for each one:
If you want to verify this, go to the financial guru that is on radio and tv, Search his site for “free credit score”
For free credit report, use
freecreditreport.com is not free. They make you pay for a service in order to get it, so do not use them.

You can get your credit report for free from . This is the only really free source and you can get one report from each of the 3 credit bureaus a year.

When you get your report, you can also purchase your credit score. The scores only cost about $7 each so it’s not expensive. I don’t know anyone that gives them away for free.
